DIRECTOR OF BRAND STRATEGY | Scout Digital | Remote

JANUARY 2020 – PRESENT

Led branding department in coordination with a cross-functional creative team to produce integrated, measurable client-side and internal content. 

Oversaw expression of the internal brand through its voice, story, visual identity, and integrated digital marketing initiatives.

Developed a brand strategy and messaging framework to deploy consistent brand language to drive client awareness, consideration, and customer loyalty.

Created design systems to visually identify and express client brands across media touchpoints for a seamless customer experience. 

Built systems and procedures to ensure adherence to internal brand standards for team empowerment and alignment.

Performed quantitative and qualitative research to monitor the effectiveness of in-house and client-side brand strategy and content performance.

AUGUST 2019 – JANUARY 2019

Coordinated with in-house creative teams to up-level existing brand standards to spur internal adoption and customer acquisition.

Co-managed influencer sponsorship program to vet and prepare a paid network for brand advocacy.

Served as a liaison between agency partners and the creative team to coordinate the omnichannel expression of the brand for customer acquisition.

FEBRUARY 2013 – AUGUST 2019

Partnered with early stage startup founders to develop a strategic brand vision for internal alignment and market entry.

Conducted market research and audience definition to establish differentiating attributes and to position against competitors.

Developed a brand strategy framework to deliver consistent, cohesive messaging for internal adoption and brand awareness.

Led a small team of in-house and freelance creative professionals to perform day-to-day design and content tasks aligned to brand strategy roadmaps.

Wrote, tested, analyzed, and optimized integrated marketing language and creative assets for sites, Google, and LinkedIn.

OCTOBER 2010 – JANUARY 2018

Designed public relations assets for Nike, Unilever, Suave, Abbott, US Army, and OREO.

Developed data-informed pitches to engage with reporters and journalists on social media, print, and television.

Built content to support PR strategy in coordination with a team of writers, designers, editors and blog contributors.

Produced informational one-sheets and infographics for new product launches, case studies, and promotional events.

FoodMatch is a Mediterranean food purveyor. I joined the in-house creative team to manage the brand, develop labeling standards, and promote its products through direct mail, signage, product display, merchandising, and marketing.

Mirrorball is an experiential and event marketing agency. I joined Mirrorball to oversee the design team and to build unique, interactive experiences for brands Dos Equis and Perrier.

Rx Agency is a global marketing agency servicing the pharmaceutical industry. I was contracted to provide art direction, working with a team of designers to develop branded consumer products for brands Rituxan, Pfizer, and Genentech.

Wunderman Thompson is a global marketing agency. I was contracted to provide art direction and design solutions for global companies Siemens and LF.

Whiting Design was a boutique design studio. I joined the team as a graphic designer developing brand identities, packaging, and marketing materials for food and beverage, nautical engineering, retail, architecture, and theater.
